About Gardenology

Gardenology is about the people…You. We take away the confusion and overwhelm and instill confidence. In other words, we help you find your green thumb, strengthen your existing garden skills or just get it done for you! Whether you need help with your garden, landscape or trees, we can do it all for you. Experienced gardener? or just getting started?, we are here to make your garden dreams come true!

Our Team
Reuven Walder
Reuven is the founder and President of Gardenology. He is passionate about plants, restoration and healthy food and believes that everyone can and deserves to have a garden. He is an ecologist with over 20 years of experience in ocean and watershed ecology. Ask him to tell you a story or two! He has some great ones to share. He has conducted conservation based research on an array of ecosystems and sensitive species aimed at preservation, restoration and protection. He is an experienced environmental educator utilizing his broad base of scientific and mechanical systems knowledge to educate and empower people around him to wisely use and protect our resources whether on a nature tour or in their home. He is also a licensed contractor and certified Building Analyst and has a broad base of knowledge around building science, energy efficiency and environmentally friendly products. A committed conservationist, he has devoted his career to developing an array projects aimed to reduce resource consumption and promote sustainability. Reuven also serves as the Board Chair of One Montgomery Green and Treasurer of the Maryland Building Performance Association and lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife and three children.
Shoshanah Haberman
Shoshanah is Gardenology’s Landscape Designer. She has a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Maryland and a decade of experience designing for complex spaces, difficult niches and micro-climates. Shoshanah's work emphasizes sustainability through timeless designs that improve ecological function and are also beautiful, functional and pragmatic. Each space draws you outdoors no matter the season with a constantly changing tapestry of light, movement, color and texture.
Marko Modric
Marko is Gardenology’s Garden Expert. You will meet Marko when you have scheduled a Landscape Consultation or when you need a coaching session or advice. He has a wealth of knowledge in plants, horticulture and sustainability!
Scott Little
Keny is an Assistant Landscape Foreman. He has years of experience in the landscape and construction industry plus working extensively in the theater set design industry.
Keny Hernandez
Keny is an Assistant Landscape Foreman. He has years of experience in the landscape and construction industry plus working extensively in the retail industry. You will often see Keny with a smile, working hard at pruning planting and organizing the crews!
Tomas Perez
Tomas is an installation specialist with Gardenology and has a can do it and fix it mindset. He is responsible for much of the construction work you see in our gardenscapes!

Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted.
